A first date in New York can be a walk in Central Park, that's what it seems anyway, as I sit on a bench under the cherry trees and watch lovers go by. It's great seeing the diversity, there's a tattooed man walking with a girl tending to a poodle. The biker seems to be picking up a once housewife.
I have a packet of work I need to edit and I'm sitting near Turtle Pond (btw, the turtles are getting more action now-a-days then I am, naughty turtles) I love watching the people go by hand in hand. There's a straight couple right next to a gay couple on the a knoll in the distance, they're both kissing.
I can tell which people have been effected by spring as I watch them go by, there are those that smile while they walk their dogs and those that insist on pulling their dog along when the puppy stops to smell a blooming bush. The mix of people on Tuesday is striking.
I love watching a persons face when they meet someone for the first time, that they like, their eyes light up and their smile is upturned and grinning. When the same smile is returned, the new couple beams, it seems that all things are possible by watching other peoples lives walk by.
I love Central Park and this post is dedicated to all the couples that have meet and will meet in the Park under the blooming cherry trees.
Okay I'm done with the very sappy post of the day.
that was so cute!
