I love reading Hunter James Site. The life of a porn star. I've been to a lot of the same parties he's talked about, well in one form or another (when I first came to the city). His tales are toned down from their true reality; he talks about backrooms and underwear parties. I've been; I've been. They're all the same. He doesn’t give details yet truly those words speak volumes. Caught up, in the circle of anonymous self gratification.
What’s unique about his life is his very working relationship with Damon. The fact that they love each other makes them; they're site and everything else so much hotter. I mean they truly are the working relationship in the haystack; they’ve broken all the rules. Of dating - of monogamy - of traditional aspiration. I love that he is so honest and forthright, to that I tip my hat, even though his life isn’t the one I want to lead. I admire being able to delve into his moments.
I can't help wondering what people in the future will call this time, I mean, there was the disco craze, the raves, now what. There is clearly a cultural trend here, as some bath houses have shut down; they've moved the parties into clubs, bars and people's apartments.
Sex is predominant. I sometimes think that Hunter is the only man with a partner. I've been to these parties to see the shocking Amanda Lapour strut her stuff and never talk. I like here look, she’s a muse and a symbol for the scene. Carefully crafted. I don't what to guess as to what motivated her transformation. Yet it is just that, an illusion of the grandest kind.
Even more predominant are the drugs and the strong cheap booze. The lowered inhibitions of naked men. As the lights are dim and the people feel as though society has left them, at least the society that questions and doesn’t allow them to be the person they seek to be.
What will this time be called? Of naked men, once again – filling bars. What will the future hold as it repeats itself? I have no answers; all I can do is watch and make choices for myself.
Well, it's certainly not the era of Love, Sex and Rock n' Roll. There's just a lot of sex, no love, and only the thumpa thumpa of house.
